Soft Reeds and Suede Pheasant

First, I had to dust off this set! It is from 2002, Autumn Days. Trying to use my OLD sets a bit before I get too interested in any of the new stuff coming in June.

One of the ladies in my OSW group on Facebook shared the cards she made using this OSW
I couldn't decide between Braided Linen Trim,, Copper Trim and Burlap Ribbon so I used all 3!

A Challenge on SCS was No Coloring

Nature's Poem is the only DSP I have that seemed to work with this set. I had already Loved it, Chopped it so I didn't exactly cut the paper as she had done in the OSW plan.

I needed Thinking of You cards for a swap

I used the Thinking of You from Climbing Orchid

Thank you for looking!

O.C. vs Kylies 11

This is O.C. (Odd Cat)
He is not our's technically, LOL he just showed up here one day and never left.
He has decided if I am making cards, that is HIS time for attention or to just be in front of me, on my cardstock.

Kylie Bertucci has this great video,

Struggle with Card Measurements?

Card Templates Tutorial

If you notice the photo bottom right, it is a WHOLE pack of Nature's Poem DSP, CHOPPED!
Then it's all stored in one of the stamp cases.

Say Goodbye to One Sheet Wonder and say HELLO to the new

First thing is to gather the cardstock and DSP.'s  I used 8 sheets of cardstock.
I chose 8 different colors that cordinate with the DSP.
Whisper White, Tranquil Tide, Grapefruit Grove, Mint Macaron, Rich Razzleberry, Blackberry Bliss, Cajun Craze, Soft Suede,Petal Pink

Cut 3 of them in half for bases.
I cut the other 5 sheets in half so they each provide another base.
The bits of scrap can be used for inside and embellishing too
So here is the guide I made for cutting the cardstock using Kylies templates.
 I did cover the measurments.

SO this is what you'll have dut for cardstock, the little piles on the bottom for each color is the scrap.

Then cut the DSP to fit on the cardstock pieces.

Oh and I used Stampin' Up! Rooted in Nature stamp set and Dies.

oh on this one, I did a little pop up inside.

O.C. says I'm done, it's his time now!

Thanks for visiting!
