Guess what?

I finally get to tell people.....

Mike and Carrie are having another baby.

S(he) is expected to be here April 2014

I had a pic of the ultra sound but it will not load here. Too pixelated.

So here's some of MJ instead, he's still my cutie!!

06 November 2013

Raye's Birthday card... a day late in making it, so 2 days late by the time she gets it.

A very nice lady on SCS sent me a sample of the new Thinlits card base.... I had to play around with it.
I have ordered my own, and I am hoping it works in the CB. I have 4 ladies that will order one of them if it does.
Blooming with kindness is so pretty, but what flower is that? What color should it be? I am thinking it might be a Zinnia, then the whole rainbow counts..right?

This card I can't tell who its for, since her b'day is a month away yet. Love the Pop N Cuts Dies...Serious love!!! LOL
Yes, i did steal that dress on the front off my Elaborate Dressing Room card.  must get Josh to make me some more hangers...mine do not turn out at all!
Gotta give credit to Karen Jorgensen for her Elaborate Dressing Room tutorial, for the ideas on the front.

27 October 2013

MJ's first Pumpkin Patch

He's so darned cute (Grama can say that!) there was also a maze for the kids with hay bales, I seem to have lost that pic (must still be on my phone)

Can't believe he will be 2 years old Nov 29th..WOW! time sure flies

November's Workshop

Sad to say probably my last workshop too. I have had 6 ladies committed to every other month with a $30 order, 4 have decided this was their last. I live out in the boonies...literally.

Raye wanted me to do a workshop using the Stamp-a-ma-jig and 2 Steppin' well we did 2. Although the Ever Green card ended up being just a 1 steppin card with embossing. Loved the Iridescent Ice on the Tree, Silver turned out really nice for the words.
We used Gumball Green and Garden Green, Silver Glitter Card Stock and Shimmer White.....so pretty in person!!

Once again I used the Pop N Cut for my base...so addicted!!
Daffodil Delight for the base looked nice with the DSP
Used the Framelits on the DSP and Pear Pizzazz,
I must say I do love this Stipple Blossoms set! We did end up putting more leaves on during the workshop
We used Strawberry Slush with Crisp Cantaloupe and Gumball Green and Garden Green markers, the sentiment is from Petite Pairs we used Early Espresso for ink

Halloween Cards

MJ's Card

 Creep's Card

Stampin Up! Pop N Cut Base...Love it!!!

MJ's card front is SU DSP Sweater Weather, well bot h cards use that DSP
The House on the front of MJ's card my mom made using the Sizzix. the inside I did with SU MDS and Framelits
Creep's card is all MDS and Framelits. I did his card front upside you might say, but that way he can have it sitting up and the front be right side up..make sense?

Elaborate Dressing Room

Karen Jorgensen aka karjor on SplitcoastStampers.com shared her tutorial for this!
Thank you so much

Darling step son Josh made the little hanger for me! It's so darned cute.Love Island Indigo, but ink seems to be super juicy!
DS Andy picked out the colors and the Venetian Romance DSP

So not making this card again...It is 12" wide! and my vase, well the flower is too heavy. It's so darling though!!

I may do the Armoire side as a card front fr=or the Pop n Cut card or even a dresser.

Leave it to Tommy

This cat never ceases to crack me up!

This  photo is so disturbing!

So I had to go  take another to show he doesn't have a knife through his skull!

Another to show how  hard he is resting against ti! LOL

I stuck this knife in between some boards on the deck. It's just a junk one for garden stuff. Tommy was laying on the rail enjoying the cooler evening air and getting petted as each person walked by him.

I had gone back out for some reason (no clue why with this heat) and this is how he was laying.

He had spent most of the hot day in the kitchen laying upside side looking so dead. Poor guy!

Growth Chart

This growth chart has been in our home(s) since May 15, 1991

That just made me feel old!!

Andy was 22 months old when I first measured him and he was 33 3/4" tall

MJ is 20 months old and he is 34 1/8" tall.

I made this back when I sold Tri Chem, wonder if i can wash it without losing anything.

Envelope Maker, coming soon

We are getting a new and amazing Envelope maker!  It will help you make envelopes of almost any size you want!  We saw it at Convention and I know you will love it.  It's not available quite yet but watch for it very soon!

I am so excited for it!!

Oh how I wish I could have gone to Convention this year, there are so many cool sneak peaks!
This is one item that is going to the top of my next wish list!

26 July 2013

Something must be wrong with me

UPS came with my Holiday Catty preorder. I opened the box,

I ordered the new 1 1/4" Burlap Ribbon (thinking masculine)
Sweater Weather DSP
and the Harvest of Thanks stamp set.

yep 4 hours later it is still sitting right there!

I had something too much more interesting and exciting to play with.

Momma was so not approving of the photo session, she blocked my view every chance she got!

They are Old English Bantams, the little guys are less than 2" tall. that is a 2x4 behind him. (or her, I can't tell yet! LOL)
Daddy went into the house and made lots of noise but no attempts to come out and be a man! LOL
Now i am anxious for my grandson MJ to get her to see them!

18 July 2013

My little MJ

He's getting so tall! not even 2 years old yet!

Get Well for Jan

Found a challenge to make a get well card.
I didn't need 1, but figured I could make it up and just toss it int he stash.

So off to find a color combo idea I liked. Stumbled on someones board on Pinterest (of course)
Then from there over to a new blog Dynamic Duos. The Challenge there was for Subtles, but I really liked a card Halley had made, So here is my CASE of her BABY card.

Used my new DSP Afternoon Picnic, it coordinates with Crushed Curry, Pear Pizzazz and Very Vanilla
I tried out a new Debossing idea I found on You Tube for Karen Burniston, using her Framelits she created for SU.. I can't believe I did it! LOL
Not happy with my sponging, but that Crushed Curry seems so BAM to me anyhow.
The  5/8" Organza Ribbon seems to work well
Then when I found something else I liked, and clicked on Like Me on FB, I learned one of my good friends is having heart trouble, so I guess this card gets  a home after all.

Not happy to need it now.

P.S. BTW my table isn't so cleared anymore!

Brightly Gleaming

My sister and I spent all day Friday organizing all of the Christmas papers.  Turns out I have 10 full bins, all retired of just Christmas....
