Dreams in Lace

My goal for this year is to dust off some oldies for each challenge.
The next card for SCS is the letter L.
I dusted of Dream Garden stamp set that's from 1990.

For the letter L the only thing that came to mind was lace,
so I used a really old technique that I haven't used since the 1990s LOL.
Put lace on adhesive paper
then I poured black flocking over it,
pull off the lace then put white sand where the adhesive remained .

I stamped the same image I used on the inside on the flap of the envelope
 but I didn't emboss that.

You can't really tell in any of the photos, I used the Stitched Rectangle Dies.
Not sure if the Black Foil really shows either

Stamps: Dream Garden
Paper: Whisper White and Black Foil
Paper Size: A2
Ink: Versa Mark
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Dies
Techniques: Lace & sand and Embossing

Thanks for looking.

Garage Trio

Using Geared up Garage and Garage Gear dies and using ideas from
Create with Connie and Mary to create these carts.

I do not have the DSP so I stamped my own.
The Metallic Silver Edge Ribbon colors very nicely with Black Blends

Smokey Slate, Basic Grey and Granite Grey card stock,
oh there's also a piece of Whisper White inside the one.

Silver foil paper, black embossing powder and Gallery Grunge for the Tread Lines.
I used Crushed Curry, Basic Black and Smokey slate for the tread.

I am thinking of maybe putting another "inside" piece on the left also.

I used the Stitched Rectangle Dies for the one card. Silver metallic thread
and Classic Garage Metal Elements

Soft Reeds and Suede Pheasant

First, I had to dust off this set! It is from 2002, Autumn Days. Trying to use my OLD sets a bit before I get too interested in any of the new stuff coming in June.

One of the ladies in my OSW group on Facebook shared the cards she made using this OSW
I couldn't decide between Braided Linen Trim,, Copper Trim and Burlap Ribbon so I used all 3!

A Challenge on SCS was No Coloring

Nature's Poem is the only DSP I have that seemed to work with this set. I had already Loved it, Chopped it so I didn't exactly cut the paper as she had done in the OSW plan.

I needed Thinking of You cards for a swap

I used the Thinking of You from Climbing Orchid

With Sympathy

My sister Pat purchased a die on-line for decorating the corners of cards, but had no idea how to use it, so she sent it to me to show her how.
I used it on a lot of card bases and mats just practicing. I made instructions for her and returned it.
Now to dust off the pieces I made for myself and actually use them

Blackberry Bliss, Grapefruit Grove, Old Olive, Very Vanilla Card stock

Blackberry Bliss ink

Stitched labels dies, Flourish dies, Corner die/embosser and self-adhesive sequins

Mother's Day roses 2019

I make Mother's Day cards for my sisters, SIL Auntie Grama, moms
and ladies I call mom (Friends)

I used Stampin' Up! Climbing Roses, I actually bought this set just for mothers day. (Flowers)

I made 12 cards.
Then to make sure DH mom and Grama don't get matching cards,
 I did 2 colors.
My mom lives with my youngest sister so they get different colors also.

The Pull Out Fun Fold is from Dawn.
I love this fold!

These 2 I did for co-workers.

Embossed in copper then hand colored.
The Eclipse Technique is my favorite.
I can't believe the Letter Dies are retiring.

Tea Together with Teia

I recently joined a group  on SCS, 2019 A-Z Card Swap, and you make a card alphabetically. Right now they are on J so I made it with Joseph's coat technique.
It requires glossy cardstock which I didn't have so I used photograph paper and the first piece I did I actually burned it LOL
The tiny gold beads I have no clue where I got them from or even what brand they are (no label)

Stamps: Tea together
Paper: Soft Seafoam,Flirty Flamingo and Old Olive
Ink: Daffodil Delight Granny Apple Green Pacific Point Mellon Mambo
Accessories: Tea time dies, paper doily, ribbon and Tufted 3D embossing folder
Techniques: Joseph's coat

SUOC 221: Sketch Challenge

#SUOC221

The moment I saw the sketch, beautiful Promande was on my mind.

The colors I picked are from Mackenzie Makes, Color of the week.
Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green and Coastal Cabana. Sh ealso had Pineapple Punch and Mango Melody on hers, but I didn't need that many colors.

This card can also be for a beginner, so i stepped it up with a couple of layers.

For the front panel I used Granny Apple Green on Flirty Flamingo Base

On the inside I used Coastal Cabana.
Now that I am looking at the photo, I think my sentiment is crooked! LOL

Then I made another stepping it up with some Dies....
I really love the  Beautiful layers and Stitched Rectangles!!!

I put the little rectangles with the images on with Dimensionals
