Happiest wishes Roxanne
Diamond plate texture embossing folder, lots of labels frameless and birthday thinlit and an old stamp set found at a hard sale...Born to Ride.
Used up so old cardstock, Mint Macaron, I have so much cardstock that needs to get used up so I can make room for new stuff.
Basic Grey ink and Smokey Slate cardstock on and of course Whisper White.

Butterfly Birthday
I'm trying to use up some of the retired cardstock to make room for the cardstock that will retire in June.I
I do miss Watermelon Wonder. I was hoarding it...I know bad bad bad.
I realized the "Retired Cardstock" bin is too full to add more. I told myself I'd only allow ONE for retired cardstock, but I have 4 of PHD's.....projects half done. Lol
i haven't even bought the new in colors for 2017-2018 so 😢
Basic Butterfly stamp set has a beautiful fern leaf..💘 it! But it also has a few pieces I just haven't uninked so I used one here.

Mural from hotel
This mural was nailed to the wall in the basement of the hotel in Hinckley, MN.
Many years ago it was a part of (connected by an under ground tunnel) Cassidy's Restaurant.
This canvas is 4 feet tall, and over 20 feet long.
I have no use for it and want to sell it.
If I am unable to sell it, I think I will cut out certain areas and mount them for myself.
Can you see the deer on the left? One is near the waters edge.
This painting represents either the St Croix River or Grindstone.
I can't find an island on the Grindstone though
Here's a close up of the Indian village and deer.
Painted by J. Ahibom in 1965
I can not find anything on this person.

Carols Of Christmas
This stamp set and coordinating Thinlits, Card Front builder is brand new.....I Love it!
Don't look too closely at my deer....
I can not seem to stamp him out and cut it without chopping him off somewhere! LOL
A little piece of Gold Foil behind the starry cutt outs...so pretty and I used a leaf from Vintage Leaves Thinlits to cut snow using the Dazzling Diamonds Glitter paper
I just love the Card Front Builder, it is so pretty!

For the alphabet Challenge
I combined the letters O and T.
For O I used Old Olive and printed out the music to O Christmas Tree.
For the letter T I used Perfect Pine TREE, Dani double challenged us to do something time related so I put a print inside the story or meaning of the Christmas Tree and how they ended up coming indoors for Christmas
.

O CHRISTMAS TREE!
Perhaps the most beloved of all Christmas traditions is the custom of the Christmas tree.
Christmas trees have been a part of celebrations worldwide for thousands of years.
Ancient Romans viewed the trees as a sign of life in the midst of Winter. In Great Britain in
Victorian times, trees were decorated with candles to represent stars. In Germany, the first
Christmas Trees were decorated with edible things, such as gingerbread and gold covered
apples.
The first person to bring a Christmas Tree into a house, in the way we know it today, may have
been the 16th century German preacher Martin Luther. A story is told that, one night before
Christmas, he was walking through the forest and looked up to see the stars shining through
the tree branches. It was so beautiful! He went home and told his children that it reminded
him of Jesus, who left the stars of heaven to come to earth at Christmas.
One thing is for certain. Whether big or small, wide or tall, Christmas trees bring the magic
of Christmas into our hearts and our homes.
For the Alphabet Challenge
I combined, P which the challenge was to PAINT, so I used my Aqua Painters.
Q a card some one could recreate QUICKLY.
R you must use things that start with R, Rose &, Real Red
and for S CASE someone from SCS whose user name starts with S
so I picked my friend Kelly ScrappinCEO,
and I used Stipple Rose. 2 S's LOL
ScrappinCEO Sympathy (click to see her card)
And I also CASED
Shoe Girl Thank You Roses (click to see her card)

CASing myself
In a challenge on SCS... ABC's we are on the letter M.
Easy enough, but she added a twist, go to the first card I'd ever uploaded and remake it adding the M.
I thought I'd do it in Mint Macron, or Melon Mambo, but that seemed too simple.
So I change the Peace to Memories.
Here's my original from 2006
And here's my redo

Just for something to do
I rearranged again.
Well a few changes in my room this year...first we tore out the carpet.
Last Fall a friend living in town called and said someone had dumped off a pregnant cat at her place. she was feeding her, but neighbors hate cats so much she worried about her.
Well she had the babies...
We made a plan to capture her and the babies and let them live in our shed.
I have 15 acres 3 miles from town, I don't have 'neighbors' to worry about.
When we started noticing the babies eating from the dish with momma we put the plan in motion.
Well I am only home Saturday night till Tuesday morning.
We made our plan to do this on Saturday night. momma got killed by a neighbor on Thursday. OMG I hate people!
She was such a sweet heart too, very friendly. Very petite little girl too. Calico. Well there is now 4 little orphans that a so feral I didn't think this was going to work.
We caught one, a little tiger striped guy, but he went nuts! We finally caught another one, he was half the size, white with blue eyes. When we put him in the kennel Stripes got out. UGH
It was getting pretty dark so we put out some food and called it quits. i said we get all 4 or none so we let the white one go.
It took us 3 weeks to finally catch them we ended up doing 2 one weekend then the other 2 had gone missing until another week later.
They were under 1 pound each... and covered in fleas. Being less then 12 weeks treating was not easy.
Anyhow,,,, we lost one. The plan to put them in the shed wasn't going to work with them being so so and orphans. Thought we'd find homes or even maybe a shelter. Well, Clint got too attached and he says he doesn't like cats HA
Gizmo, the tiny white one is his baby. Litterally. He sleeps under the covers snuggled up almost under him! He was so sick, we weren't sure he;d make it. DOing great now.
Missy is pure black with gold eyes, she's so pretty! Not to sure about people. I can capture her and pet her head to toe a few times, then she'll calm down and let me pet her. She won't come to you to be petted though.
Strip got a new name...he is now Trouble. He is twice the size of the other 2.
They all play outside.
this is Gizmo sleeping between my knees I had a pillow on my lap, he was under it. That's how close he thinks he MUST be to us. He refused to look at me let alone wake up.
I got these guys to look at me and I am very happy looks can't kill! They weren't happy about getting woke up for a picture ha ha
SO I decided I wanted tile in there instead.
So we put down a pretty blue tile Then I decided my feet got too chilly while making cards so i put a piece of simple flat carpet in the center.
Then my mom gave me a tapestry rug so i put it on top of that . Just because I have no where to put it. haha
I left the one side of the room tile exposed where my plants are.
I got the cabinet on the left at a yard sale. It's a gun cabinet the lady lost the keys for it. So I put shelves inside and it is now a stamp cabinet.
I put shelves up floor to ceiling, but removed the bottom ones to put those plastic drawer things there.
My room changes a lot, if something doesn't seem convenient I change it! I keep my card stock and Big Shot on the other side of the room so I'm not just sitting on my butt in there
Thanks for stopping by.....a whole story later ! haha

How I spent my one day weekend
My SCS friend Annsforte3 send me a birthday card with some little Easter cuts in it!
I used some to make this for my nephew.
This one is for my Grandson
I need to go to Micheal's and find something tiny to do more to the front before I mail it.
Girls are so much easier to embellish cards for. This is for my Granddaughter
On Saturday just before I left work I posted on Face Book
"I get to go home in 15 minutes. YAY
But I have to come back again Monday morning.
Thinking I should start planning a card on my way home
But I have to come back again Monday morning.
Thinking I should start planning a card on my way home
so all I gotta do is take everything out and do it. smile emoticon
Anyone wanna throw a color combo, sketch or stamp set idea my way?"
Anyone wanna throw a color combo, sketch or stamp set idea my way?"
My daughter said "Black Teal & Fushia"
Melon Mambo, Basic Black and Bermuda Bay
I finally inked up my Botanicals For You stamp.
My friend Grace suggested Red, teal, black.
I used the Rose Garden Thinlits.
Real Red, Basic Black and Tempting Turquoise
I did the leaves in Pear Pizzazz
This is also a SCS Sketch but I will have to go back in to find the number.
My friend Todd was trying to be funny and suggested Christmas Cards.
I am in a SCS Challenge for Christmas cards and I haven't made a one yet this year.
Well now I have 6 done.
January's Inspiration is Music.
I cut one sheet of pretty paper that has been sitting around for years.
2 are a bit different from the others. I was going to do just 4 then decided I might as well use the last 2 pieces of paper somehow.
Stampin' Up! Peaceful Wishes stamp set to dress up the insides.

Classic Pickups
Had to dust off an oldie! Classic Pickups retired right after I bought it, but I will not part with it.
SAB this year has a DSP called Perfectly Artisic, I cut one of the sheets up into a OSW.
It says it coordinates with Bermuda Bay so that is what I used, it seems a bit off to me.
Smokey Slate, Whisper White, Bermuda Bay
Diamond Plate Embossing Folding

New OSW for 2016
I was so excited when I received my copy of the 2016 Occasions Catalog.
I struggle with Birthday cards......I think someone at Stampin' Up! must of heard that.
It's my Party DSP 140552 $26
There is 48 sheets in there, can you imagine how many OSW I can do? I planned a Class around that thought. That way I won't have so much left over, so I can't hoard it later. I'm terrible about using my DSP, I use a sheet or two from a pack then it just sits. :(
So I decided NO MORE DSP...yeah right!
It's My Party Cardstock Pack 140553 $7
I absolutely love it that Stampin' Up! now has the coordinating colors as a pack...so convenient
I did buy more Basic Black, Whisper White and Sahara Sand.
Confetti TIEF 140593 $7.50
I wasn't going to buy anymore TIEF, none, no way!
Well I had to get this one, it goes with the whole project!
Bundle; Party With Cake Stamp set and Party Pop Up Thinlit Dies 140814 $42.50
I love the new Pop Up dies, they work so well, no fussy poking.
My only issue is the Happy Birthday Cake doesn't want to stay put even on my magnetic plate.
But it's still good!
Things I forgot when I ordered.....but I will dress up my cards a bit when they get here.
Baker's Twine Combo Pack 140555 $6.50
It's My Party Designer Washi Tape 140556 $8.
I was planning to use this on the insides, but since I forogt to order it, i just used strips of the matching DSP
It's My Party Enamel Dots 140554 $4.
for the pattern.....
Okay, now before you look at my cards and say "that's not a OSW"
I cut one of each of the pages from the pack, and put the cuts in baggies for each card. I plan to pass a baggy around the table and let the ladies pick the piece they want for each card, so they have a sample of each sheet in the pack. I cut the bases and I'll let them pick which bases they want too. so they won't all be the same.

I did learn, that if you want to put colored pieces behind the words on this cut out...you must do it before adhering to the card base. I ripped one,

With the release of the retired list, some of you may be wondering which Christmas stamps will still be available. Don't cry or pout,...
