Wednesday relaxng.

WOYWW ? ...  A mess.

The laptop which never moves. It is often closed however LOL
Directly in front of it is my notebook, adhesive dots (newest fave!) my magnifying glass for those blind as a bat moment, and the flip-flop set of dies from Sizzix a Stephanie Barnard design, it was a gift from one of my SCS friends.

Wildlife Reserve Stamp Set is out because I needed an o"O" so I used the owl and the oval for the card for my ABC group on SCS.

That is one stamp set that I will never part with, mostly because I love the Eagle and the Turtle, but I won't part with any of the 'guy' stuff.

Using up some retired DSP the wood grain texture.

Oh my new blend storage is on the table too I have room to purchase four more combos!

I also have dies and stamps and some DSP ready for a congratulations new home card I need to make for a co-worker.

There is an empty Wood mount case there getting ready for the new pack of  DSP to be cut into love it chop it.

I also have all of the supplies that I received from the creative chicks this month to get that card

oh and the catnip bubbles are on the table LOL total flop and failure where the cats are concerned but the dog absolutely is berserk over them

All this humidity made my envelopes seal. UGH

I think I might miss my round glass table when I move out to the craft room. Haven't decided what I'm going to do with this table I hate to just put it in the shed for storage.

Here is the new Big Shot! Man is that thing quiet!!! I wouldn't have know it was working if it hadn't moved! LOL

Maybe I'll take a picture of my table when I clean it all the way off! someday

Thanks for visiting.

Encouraging Garden Floral

The ongoing theme for her International Blog Highlights is - Encouragment
Unfortunately I couldn't get the card made and uploaded and get my internet to agree with me for uploading in time for her hop.

The card design is from Dawn. She calls it Pull Out Fun Fold.
The base is Mossy Meadow with Garden Lane DSP pull out piece is Pear Pizzazz. Every Day punch with the sentiment on Whisper White stamped in Mossy Meadow was a tiny bit of Mint Macaron behind it and Mint Macaron Textile ribbon.
The leaves are stamped in Mossy Meadow on Pear Pizzazz punched out with the leaf punch. The flowers are stamped in Mango Melody and Crushed Curry on Whisper White and punched out with the new Perennial Flower punch.

I did a Whisper White piece on the back for writing area with what was left of the 3 7/8" x 12" DSP that I had cut to do the front.

Thank you for looking and go check out Kylie's blog for more beautiful cards.

I tried the splatter technique on a couple, on the fence if I like that or not.
Kinda looks like I sneezed ink on it. Lol

Dreams in Lace

My goal for this year is to dust off some oldies for each challenge.
The next card for SCS is the letter L.
I dusted of Dream Garden stamp set that's from 1990.

For the letter L the only thing that came to mind was lace,
so I used a really old technique that I haven't used since the 1990s LOL.
Put lace on adhesive paper
then I poured black flocking over it,
pull off the lace then put white sand where the adhesive remained .

I stamped the same image I used on the inside on the flap of the envelope
 but I didn't emboss that.

You can't really tell in any of the photos, I used the Stitched Rectangle Dies.
Not sure if the Black Foil really shows either

Stamps: Dream Garden
Paper: Whisper White and Black Foil
Paper Size: A2
Ink: Versa Mark
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Dies
Techniques: Lace & sand and Embossing

Thanks for looking.

Garage Trio

Using Geared up Garage and Garage Gear dies and using ideas from
Create with Connie and Mary to create these carts.

I do not have the DSP so I stamped my own.
The Metallic Silver Edge Ribbon colors very nicely with Black Blends

Smokey Slate, Basic Grey and Granite Grey card stock,
oh there's also a piece of Whisper White inside the one.

Silver foil paper, black embossing powder and Gallery Grunge for the Tread Lines.
I used Crushed Curry, Basic Black and Smokey slate for the tread.

I am thinking of maybe putting another "inside" piece on the left also.

I used the Stitched Rectangle Dies for the one card. Silver metallic thread
and Classic Garage Metal Elements

Soft Reeds and Suede Pheasant

First, I had to dust off this set! It is from 2002, Autumn Days. Trying to use my OLD sets a bit before I get too interested in any of the new stuff coming in June.

One of the ladies in my OSW group on Facebook shared the cards she made using this OSW
I couldn't decide between Braided Linen Trim,, Copper Trim and Burlap Ribbon so I used all 3!

A Challenge on SCS was No Coloring

Nature's Poem is the only DSP I have that seemed to work with this set. I had already Loved it, Chopped it so I didn't exactly cut the paper as she had done in the OSW plan.

I needed Thinking of You cards for a swap

I used the Thinking of You from Climbing Orchid

With Sympathy

My sister Pat purchased a die on-line for decorating the corners of cards, but had no idea how to use it, so she sent it to me to show her how.
I used it on a lot of card bases and mats just practicing. I made instructions for her and returned it.
Now to dust off the pieces I made for myself and actually use them

Blackberry Bliss, Grapefruit Grove, Old Olive, Very Vanilla Card stock

Blackberry Bliss ink

Stitched labels dies, Flourish dies, Corner die/embosser and self-adhesive sequins
